Textured circle shaped pendant, made with 100% recycled, solid sterling silver & 24ct gold. A domed disc, hammered with an allover dot texture, with a scattering of 24ct gold little flakes of confetti. The gold is applied using the ancient keum boo technique, where gold is permanently bonded to the silver using heat and burnishing. The pendant, and chain, are then submerged in an oxidising fluid to darken the silver & increase the contrast between the two prescious metals.
As oxidisation is a surface patina, the dark finish will eventually rub back to the natural silver colour on high points & remain in any grooves, to give a really lovely lived in look.
