Made from solid, recycled sterling silver scrap, melted down and rolled out into sheet in the workshop. The sheet is put through a process called reticulation, where the silver is depleted: repeatedly heated and cooled to produce a layer of fine silver on top. On the final heat, the silver is heated to a temperature where the sterling underneath flows before the fine silver on top, producing random ridges and wrinkles. The time consuming process produces incredible & unpredictable textures each time, meaning each piece is always completely unique. Graduated teardrops are then cut out from the sheet.
These triple graduated teardrop earrings feature solid sterling posts & scrolls & have a lovely sparkle to them.
